How to take a backup of your data in Tally Prime?
Go to the DATA Tab in the top menu bar and select Data path.
Here Company data path denotes the path in which our data is being stored. Company Backup Path is the path where the backed up file will be stored. This is one time setting unless you wish to change it later.
After setting the Company Backup Path, now again go to Data Tab in the menu and Select the companies whose data you need to backup.
Once the companies are selected, go to End of list and press Y or Accept to complete the backup.
Similarly, if you want to restore the old backup.
select Restore option from the Data menu and select the backup file from the data path and press Y or accept to complete the restore of the data.
